About the internship

Join an AI-focused EdTech engineering team as a Backend Development Intern and help build backend systems that are secure, scalable, and performant. The role offers practical exposure to REST APIs, databases, cloud deployment, and distributed application development while working alongside frontend developers, AI engineers, and product teams.

What you will do

Build and support backend services with Django and Django REST Framework.
Create, improve, and maintain REST APIs for mobile and web products.
Work with PostgreSQL, including schema management and performance-focused SQL queries.
Apply client-server concepts, along with authentication and authorization logic.
Connect third-party APIs and cloud-based services whenever needed.
Deploy, observe, and maintain applications on AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Use Git and GitHub for version control and team collaboration.
Produce clean, maintainable, and well-documented backend code.
Investigate bugs, resolve issues, and improve application performance.
Take part in code reviews, technical discussions, and agile development workflows.
Learn and apply system design fundamentals, scalable architecture, and backend best practices.

Who can apply

This role is open to candidates who can work remotely, are able to begin between 3 July 2026 and 7 August 2026, and can commit to a 6-month internship. Applicants should also have relevant skills and interest in backend development.

Additional requirements

Recent graduates in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or other relevant technical fields are preferred.
Candidates should be available for a full-time remote internship lasting at least 4-6 months.
Applicants should be eager to experiment, build prototypes, and solve real user problems.
Interest in creating real-world mobile applications and working in an agile, startup-style team environment is important.

Stipend

The internship offers a monthly stipend of INR 9,000 to INR 10,000.
