Job Purpose
This role is focused on planning and executing project management activities effectively while overseeing clinical operations for assigned projects so that clinical research activities run without disruption.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for sponsors across the studies assigned to you.
- Coordinate and steer cross-functional team leads as well as external vendors and third parties.
- Track and manage contractual project deliverables, including milestone-based payments and qualification insurance.
- Control project scope and costs in a timely manner to help reduce financial exposure.
- Make sure project execution follows company SOPs, policies, and internal guidelines.
- Ensure projects are run in line with Tigermed systems and workflows such as CTMS, OA, and eTMF, and raise issues to the relevant functional or operational managers when needed.
- Take part in bid defense activities proactively.
- Provide training to project team colleagues and support the development of an effective team.
- Share performance feedback on project team members with their respective line managers.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in Medical, Pharmacology, Biology, or a closely related field is required. A college diploma may also be accepted if the candidate can demonstrate strong personal attributes and relevant project management experience.
- Applicants should understand modern drug development processes and regulatory requirements, including local regulations, GCP, and clinical trial operations. A valid GCP certificate is required. Knowledge of budgeting and business fundamentals is an added advantage.
- The position calls for at least 10 years of industry experience, with a minimum of 6 years in project management in Australia. Experience in a CRO environment is preferred. Candidates with exceptional project management achievements may also be considered.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office is necessary.
- Applicants must have solid project management abilities and excellent time management skills.
