Data Analyst / Data Science Consultant

Role Overview

We are looking for a Data Analyst / Data Science Consultant to contribute to analytics work in the banking and payments domain. This position is based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and follows an onsite work model. It is a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension.

What You Will Do

• Create and refine predictive models as well as customer segmentation structures.
• Examine transaction and customer datasets to surface patterns, risks, and commercial opportunities.
• Turn data findings into actionable inputs for marketing, portfolio, and risk-related decisions.
• Build analytical outputs such as dashboards, performance summaries, and reporting tools.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to convert data into practical business recommendations.

Experience and Skills Needed

• Prior experience of 1 to 5 years in data analytics, data science, or business analytics.
• Background in banking, financial services, fintech, payments, or card-related products.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL and Python; familiarity with SAS or R will be an added advantage.
• Practical exposure to predictive modeling, segmentation, transaction analysis, or risk analytics.
• Experience handling credit card, debit card, payments, or customer portfolio data is preferred.
• Good analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and communication skills.

Preferred Background

• Exposure to statistical modeling, forecasting, and data mining methods.
• Experience in card analytics, customer lifecycle analysis, or portfolio performance review.

Contract Terms

This is a 12-month extendable contract role.

Location

Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The role is onsite.
