Role overview

This opportunity is for a Data Analyst Internship suited to candidates with the right background and interest. The position blends instructional and technical work. You will collaborate with educators to test, refine, and improve the models behind the company’s analytics. The role also involves learning how the algorithms, supporting platforms, and proprietary educational content work together, then turning that understanding into practical tests and modules that help identify each student’s academic needs. The work is part of an effort to strengthen educational outcomes through better data systems and insightful analysis.

What you will work on

Support the use of AI tools and workflows to help drive data-informed decisions.
Collect, clean, and organize data from multiple sources such as websites, internal trackers, and marketing platforms.
Assist with AI and chatbot-related projects for ConnectPrep’s programs and website.
Research SEO keywords and growth opportunities, then monitor performance.
Review website analytics such as traffic, engagement, and conversions, and turn findings into simple dashboards or summary reports.
Help analyze marketing campaigns, content performance, and business operations data.
Test, document, and refine emerging data and AI workflows as they are developed.

Requirements

You should be comfortable solving open-ended problems and working with imperfect, real-world data.
Strong quantitative or mathematical ability and careful attention to detail are important.
Curiosity about how data can improve learning and student outcomes is expected.
You should be studying, or have studied, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a similar field.
Some coding background is needed, along with a strong interest in technology and artificial intelligence.
Experience with at least one of the following is required: SQL, Python data libraries such as Pandas or NumPy, or writing basic analysis scripts and data pipelines in Python.
You should be comfortable using Excel for substantial analysis, including functions, tables, formatting, conditional formatting, charting, pivot tables, reporting, simulations, Solver, and possibly VBA/macros.
Preferred background includes prior exposure to data analysis, business intelligence, or marketing analytics through internships or projects.
Familiarity with tools such as Google Analytics, GA4, Search Console, Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI, Data Studio, or SEO platforms is a plus.
Experience working with remote or hybrid collaboration tools like Slack, Zoom, and project boards is also beneficial.
