Driver - Side Lift

Role overview

This is a permanent full-time driving position based in Dandenong South. The work starts at 5:00am and includes operating a side-lift truck on municipal collection routes. The job can be physically demanding, as it requires you to get in and out of the vehicle regularly to move bins along your run.

What you will be doing

• Operating a side-lift collection vehicle for municipal waste contracts
• Loading and unloading waste material safely and efficiently
• Transporting loads to approved recycling and disposal facilities
• Providing a high standard of customer service throughout the route
• Keeping the truck clean and well-presented, both inside and outside

Candidate profile

• You must be an experienced HR driver with a valid HR licence and at least 2 years of relevant driving experience
• Prior exposure to the waste industry is highly regarded
• Side-lift experience is preferred, though training can be provided to the right person
• You need a clean driving history
• You should be willing to complete a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screening
• You must be available for an early 5:00am start
• A strong focus on safety and the ability to work well within a team are essential
• An excellent customer service attitude is expected
