EdTech Product Manager

Role overview

An expanding EdTech scale-up in Berlin is looking for a Product Manager with a strong technical foundation to help steer the business through its next phase of growth. The role sits at the intersection of product strategy, technical execution, AI-driven growth, and engineering collaboration.

What you will do

You will work closely with the team to shape product direction, manage the portfolio, and support growth initiatives across the company. The position also involves contributing to engineering-related discussions and helping guide the team as the company scales.

What the role calls for

The ideal candidate brings a background in product and technology, along with hands-on experience leading people and working with software or platform-based products. Familiarity with EdTech, AI tools, and cloud or DevOps concepts is important, as is the ability to operate comfortably in both German and English.

Working model and process

This is a hybrid position based in Berlin. The hiring process consists of 3 to 4 stages.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is €65,000 to €80,000 per year.

Skills and background

• Technical foundation in computer science or engineering

Eligibility

This opportunity is suitable for professionals with a product and technical background who can lead cross-functional work in a scaling EdTech environment and are fluent in both German and English.

Requirements

• A strong technical background, ideally gained through studies in computer science or engineering before moving into product or another discipline
• Prior experience managing people, including having led at least two individuals
• Working knowledge of development, engineering, and cloud or DevOps practices
• Experience in EdTech or with education-focused products and platforms
• Interest in and understanding of AI tools and their practical use
• Very good German and English language ability, at C1 level or above
• A solid track record in product management or portfolio ownership
