About Quantium
Quantium is an international data science and artificial intelligence company founded in Australia in 2002. Today, the organisation spans more than 1,200 people across 14 locations, combining product and consulting expertise to help businesses extract greater value from data and analytics. Its work with major global corporations is aimed at creating a smarter future through better use of data-driven insight.
Role overview
In this position, you will balance business development with end-to-end delivery responsibility. The role is commercially focused, but it also carries accountability for successful implementation. You will spot and pursue new opportunities, shape solutions with senior clients, secure the engagement, and then support teams through execution.
You will partner with C-suite leaders and senior stakeholders on AI transformation initiatives. The work includes crafting proposals that are commercially sound, facilitating workshops to define practical AI use cases, and developing long-term client relationships. This role offers strong growth for someone who can think strategically, understand how AI creates business value, and lead teams to deliver measurable outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and pursue growth opportunities in both existing and new accounts, while maintaining a strong pipeline of high-value work.
- Create persuasive proposals that clearly explain the business case, competitive edge, and return on investment, and manage commercial negotiation with senior clients.
- Run strategic sessions with executive stakeholders to turn business priorities into practical AI transformation plans.
- Oversee delivery of important AI initiatives across multiple engagements, with a focus on client satisfaction, quality, and commercial performance.
- Develop trusted executive-level relationships and use them to uncover further opportunities for expansion.
- Guide high-performing hybrid teams made up of strategists, data scientists, and business experts, ensuring strong commercial results and successful delivery.
What you bring
- A commercial approach to selling and shaping complex opportunities, including the ability to build board-ready business cases and structure engagements that deliver growth.
- The ability to move comfortably between strategic discussions and technical conversations, translating AI concepts into business language for executive audiences.
- A consulting or professional services background, with experience helping organisations navigate complex change across technology, people, process, and adoption.
- Confidence working in fast-moving environments where requirements may evolve and solutions must be developed collaboratively.
- More than 10 years of experience in strategy consulting or professional services, with substantial exposure to AI- or analytics-led transformation.
- A solid record of winning and closing complex, high-value engagements.
- Experience advising on or leading AI implementations that produced measurable business outcomes.
- Working knowledge of AI and machine learning concepts and how they can be applied strategically.
- Strong relationship management skills with C-suite leaders and senior stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills across strategic, commercial, and technical contexts.
Why this role stands out
At Quantium, you will be encouraged to tackle complex problems with rigour, precision, and curiosity, while also thinking creatively and pushing your problem-solving ability. The environment is designed for people who want to challenge themselves and make a meaningful contribution.
What you can expect at Quantium
- Freedom to shape your own career path, with opportunities to move across teams or offices as your career develops.
- A diverse workplace where you can connect with people who share different interests and communities.
- The chance to create visible impact, with contributions that matter regardless of role or seniority.
Benefits
- Flexible work options that support a healthier work-life balance.
- Access to global mobility opportunities as the business expands internationally.
- The ability to work away from your home location for up to two months each year.
