Freelance App Developer - AI Trainer

Role overview

This opportunity is for an experienced freelance app developer who can contribute to AI training work. You will join a large coding community that includes front-end, back-end, full-stack, machine learning, and other software professionals working on practical AI projects.

The work combines flexibility with technical depth. You may be asked to tackle programming tasks such as creating and solving coding challenges, developing polished apps with strong functionality, and analyzing data through visualization and interpretation. Your input helps improve AI systems so they become more accurate, adaptable, and effective.

Some contributors use this as a side engagement alongside a full-time role, while others take on projects more regularly based on their own availability and goals.

How the process works

After creating an account, you will complete a short assessment that acts as the screening step. If successful, you will receive confirmation by email and paid assignments will be made available through the platform.

Contract benefits

• You choose the projects you want to take on and when you work on them.
• You can work from your own computer and set your own schedule.
• Hourly pay starts at $50 to $100+ per hour, with higher rates available for some assignments.

Responsibilities

The role focuses on Android-oriented coding tasks that support AI model training.

• Create and solve a range of programming problems used to train AI systems, especially in Android development.
• Produce clean code examples along with clear, detailed explanations.
• Review AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, and readability.
• Share feedback that helps improve future AI model performance.

Qualifications

• Strong command of English at a native or bilingual level.
• Experience with Kotlin is preferred.
• Ability in at least one relevant language or framework such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C, C#, C++, React, Go, Java, or Swift.
• Good writing ability and strong grammar.
• A completed or ongoing bachelor’s degree.
• Prior background as a software developer, coder, software engineer, or programmer is an advantage.

Payment and contractor terms

Payment is processed through PayPal, and no money will ever be requested from you. Any USD-to-local currency conversion will be handled by PayPal. This is an independent contractor role.

Location and eligibility

This role is open only to applicants in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. Candidates outside these countries will not currently see assessments or available work.
