Role overview
We are looking for a Logistics Optimization Manager in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to strengthen logistics performance through data, automation, process improvement, and cross-functional execution. This position focuses on turning operational data into practical improvements across delivery speed, rider utilization, order stacking, forecasting, and customer experience.
Key accountability areas
BI, dashboards, and automation
- Create and continuously improve scalable dashboards and automated reporting flows that track fleet performance, delivery speed, order stacking, delivery cost, and rider utilization.
- Handle the full data workflow, starting with extracting information from raw sources using SQL and BigQuery and ending with decision-ready reporting in tools such as Tableau, Looker, and Data Studio.
- Set up recurring logistics reports to cut down manual data work and give leadership more time to act on insights.
- Build forecasting and predictive tools to support demand planning, identify potential supply shortages, and improve staffing efficiency.
- Convert large, complex datasets into clear recommendations that operations and logistics teams can use directly.
Logistics optimization and utilization
- Work to shorten delivery time across the full order journey by identifying bottlenecks in the different delivery-time metrics.
- Partner with dispatch and algorithm teams to improve order assignment logic and raise on-time delivery performance.
- Improve order stacking efficiency while keeping service-level commitments intact.
- Monitor NPS and customer experience measures linked to logistics, and identify the main causes of dissatisfaction.
- Analyze logistics breakdowns across vendor operations, rider operations, and customer touchpoints, then recommend and help implement corrective actions.
- Support workforce planning efforts to refine shift structures, staffing levels, and transitions from on-demand to shift-based models.
- Study demand patterns with growth and marketing teams to improve forecasting accuracy.
- Assist with analysis of rider hiring, onboarding, and payout processes to lower attrition and improve supply stability.
Product operations and rollout support
- Act as the main logistics contact between local business teams, local operations, and global product groups.
- Collect operational pain points, feature requests, and platform feedback, then turn them into structured business cases for product prioritization.
- Lead go-to-market execution for new logistics initiatives, including timelines, stakeholder coordination, training content, and deployment playbooks.
- Support the launch and adoption of new tools by ensuring readiness before rollout and tracking performance after launch.
- Monitor rollout KPIs, adoption trends, and feedback loops, then present updates to product and logistics leadership.
Issue resolution and stakeholder support
- Act as the first point of escalation for logistics issues by identifying root causes, coordinating fixes, and sharing resolution timelines.
- Manage performance during peak periods such as holidays, national days, and weekends using proactive monitoring.
- Work with central and regional logistics and product teams to bring broader platform improvements into the local market.
- Reduce waste per order through operational reviews and targeted efficiency initiatives.
- Provide training, change support, and communication for stakeholders affected by new logistics models or tools.
Requirements
- 5 to 8 years of experience in logistics analytics, operations, product operations, or a closely related area, ideally in food delivery, quick commerce, or a high-growth technology business.
- Proven success in at least two of the following areas: BI and analytics delivery, logistics optimization, or product rollout execution.
- Experience working in multi-market or global organizations with cross-functional, matrixed teams.
- Strong exposure to rider or fleet operations, last-mile delivery, and demand-supply management is highly desirable.
- Hands-on familiarity with A/B testing frameworks and statistical significance analysis in an operational setting.
- Advanced SQL skills, including the ability to write complex queries independently and extract data without support.
- Solid experience with visualization platforms such as Tableau, Looker, Google Data Studio, or similar tools.
- Comfort using Python or R for automation, modeling, or data transformation.
- Working knowledge of project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Notion, and Asana.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Data Science, Computer Science, or another quantitative discipline.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field is considered an advantage.
