The workplace is designed to be safe, welcoming, and inclusive, with equality, diversity, and employee satisfaction placed high on the agenda.
What you will do
You will work closely with maintenance leaders to develop the 3YMP and turn it into practical maintenance execution. The role also involves managing preventive maintenance planning, supporting capex planning and delivery, improving maintenance performance, solving technical issues, and contributing to reliability and continuous improvement efforts.
- Partner with the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Planner, and Maintenance Supervisor to prepare the 3-year maintenance roadmap.

- Define and refine preventive maintenance requirements, including task type, interval, manufacturer guidance, legislation, Vopak standards, and warranty conditions.
- Set the frequency for preventive maintenance work orders and determine the standard procedures, default tasks, and tools needed.
- Work with the Planner to agree the scope of work and default activities for PM work orders, and attach cost estimates to the schedule.
- Identify the information that must appear in inspection reports.
- Support terminal asset lifecycle management.
- Identify capex needs driven by business priorities or sustainability goals.
- Prepare scopes of work and cost estimates for capex opportunities.
- Run tenders for capex projects and execute them in line with Vopak requirements, including Management of Change (MOC) and Vopak Project Management (VPM).
- Support asset data management.
- Inspect engineering work, installations, and structures to assess quality and integrity, and recommend corrective actions to meet specification and regulatory expectations.
- Review inspection findings and convert them into actions and recommendations through Work Out Of Inspection.
- Suggest improvements that increase efficiency and productivity.
- Carry out maintenance analysis and perform basic quality sampling and inspection of assets or processes.
- Support technicians when issues are more complex.
- Identify root causes of equipment and system failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers as the main point of contact under the agreed contract management framework.
- Support internal and external audits, including regulatory and customer audits.
- Take the lead on, or contribute to, corporate initiatives and pilot rollouts.
- Train maintenance and operations technicians.
Requirements
- A Diploma or Degree in Engineering.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
- Exposure to industrial standards such as API, ASME, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of API 653 and/or API 570 will be an advantage.
- Strong understanding of terminal products and equipment.
- Prior project and maintenance experience.
- Good analytical ability, with the capacity to convert data into practical improvement actions.
- Solid knowledge of maintenance, operations, safety, and product handling.
- Familiarity with health, safety, and environment regulations and practices.
