Project Engineer / Engineering Management - Engineer

Role Overview

Larsen & Toubro is looking for a Project Engineer for its Engineering Management function in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The role supports project execution, engineering coordination, documentation control, and cross-functional follow-up to help deliver assigned projects smoothly and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in carrying out assigned project work.
• Coordinate proposal and project-related activities across teams.
• Handle technical contract review before an order is accepted and again after award, as needed.
• Compile the engineering plan and resource plan using inputs from lead engineers.
• Draft project execution procedures and any supporting procedures required for successful delivery.
• Manage engineering coordination and act as an interface with project control.
• Maintain tracking sheets for client, supplier, vendor, and contractor interactions and meetings.
• Follow up with disciplines, Project Execution Group, Specialist Engineering Groups, and other parties to ensure engineering deliverables are released as per the agreed timeline.
• Track approvals from the customer or PMC and share timely updates with the Project Manager and project controls team.
• Prepare and maintain project-specific Quality Management System documents and compile quality records in the appropriate format.
• Record minutes for regular project review meetings and conduct multidisciplinary toolbox meetings on a routine basis, while monitoring action items assigned to concerned teams.
• Update monthly man-hours and project schedules for the assigned project.
• Maintain a register of change orders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor quantities periodically as part of project tracking.
• Prepare the project closeout dossier after execution and document learnings for future reference.
