About the Role

HOKALI is hiring energetic, committed educators to support its expanding after-school enrichment team. The position centers on guiding and supervising students during enrichment sessions in a lively, student-focused setting. It suits educators who enjoy hands-on work and want to help create a secure, engaging, and encouraging experience for children.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee students ranging from Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 8th grade.
• Keep students safe and supported throughout the program.
• Design and run fun recreational and enrichment-based activities.
• Encourage healthy peer interaction and team-based participation.
• Use positive reinforcement to guide student behavior effectively.
• Track attendance carefully and document any incidents accurately.
• Set up and manage activity supplies while keeping all areas tidy and hazard-free.

Preferred Activity Background

• Music, including music theory and vocal training.
• Sports such as soccer, basketball, flag football, pickleball, and volleyball.
• Dance styles including hip hop, breakdance, K-pop, ballet, and jazz funk.
• Performing arts experience in theatre, acting, improv, or musical theatre.
• Martial arts background such as karate or jiu jitsu.
• Language instruction in Spanish, Mandarin, or French.
• Wellness activities such as yoga, meditation, and stretching.
• STEM interests like robotics, coding, and Lego-based learning.
• Experience in after-care support.

Schedule

The role follows a Monday through Friday schedule, with daily hours varying according to program requirements.

Compensation

This is a paid role with a competitive hourly wage tied to the number of active program hours.

Requirements

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You should be willing and able to complete 3 hours of online training.
• You need strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
