Role overview

The Android Engineer will build and maintain applications for Android-powered devices, contributing to native mobile development in a collaborative product environment.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain native Android applications using Java or Kotlin.
Build smooth, high-performance user interfaces, including custom controls and visual components.
Contribute to advanced visual and touch-based UI work using HTML5 and JavaScript when needed.
Integrate and support SDKs and APIs within mobile applications.
Work with Firebase SDK where required; experience with it is preferred but not mandatory.
Investigate issues, troubleshoot defects, and support performance testing using debugging tools and Instruments.
Handle native development tasks end to end.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional and cross-disciplinary teams.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in mobile software development.
A bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related discipline is preferred.
Candidates with a diploma and equivalent hands-on experience may also be considered.
A portfolio showcasing previous work and source code must be available.
Ability to interpret design concepts and explain the approach used to prototype them.
Self-driven, quick to learn, and strong at solving problems independently.
