About the Studio
Ash Wilson Design is a boutique interior design practice in Clonskeagh, Dublin. Since 2018, the studio has focused on bespoke, high-end residential interiors throughout Ireland, with select boutique commercial work as well. The team is collaborative, highly detail-oriented, and known for creating timeless spaces while maintaining close, personal client relationships.
The studio is expanding and is looking for a capable Interior Designer who can take responsibility for projects, contribute fresh ideas, and help shape the next stage of the business.
Role Overview
This position is for an Intermediate Interior Designer who will work with the Director and the wider team on projects from early concept development through to final completion. The role is practical and varied, giving exposure to concept creation, technical documentation, FF&E specification, procurement, and installation on site.
The opportunity suits someone with 2 to 5 years of experience who wants to strengthen technical capability, build confidence in creative decision-making, and gain broader project management exposure within an award-winning studio.
Key Duties
You will develop concepts based on client briefs, produce mood boards and presentation material, and contribute to space planning, custom joinery ideas, and design detailing. You will also create technical drawing packages in AutoCAD, including plans, elevations, joinery drawings, and schedules suitable for presentation, pricing, and construction.
In addition, the role includes researching and selecting furniture, lighting, fabrics, finishes, and accessories; preparing FF&E schedules; gathering quotations and samples; and helping manage procurement and product coordination throughout each project.
You will support project delivery across all stages, attend client meetings, supplier visits, and site inspections, and work with contractors, consultants, and suppliers so that the design vision is delivered correctly during construction. You will also assist with installations, styling, and final handover.
Day to day, you will collaborate with the wider studio team across multiple projects, keep project files and schedules well organised, and contribute ideas while maintaining the studio’s high design standards.
Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate has a degree, or equivalent qualification, in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field. You should have 3 to 5 years of experience in an interior design or architectural practice, with a background in residential interior projects and strong FF&E specification knowledge.
Excellent technical drawing ability is required, along with working knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign and Photoshop. Experience with Revit would be beneficial. Strong organisation, time management, communication, and presentation skills are also important.
A full driving licence and access to a car are required for site visits.
Personal Attributes
The studio is seeking someone who is passionate about well-resolved interiors, has a sharp eye for proportion, materials, and detail, and can work in a creative, organised, and proactive way. You should be comfortable working on your own as well as within a team, and committed to providing an excellent client experience.
The role is also suited to someone who is enthusiastic about learning, growing professionally, and contributing to a thriving design studio.
How to Apply
Applicants should send a CV, portfolio in PDF format or via an online link, and a short cover letter to careers@ashwilsondesign.com.
