Java Developer with GCP

Role Overview

This opening is for an experienced Java Developer with Google Cloud Platform exposure. The position is based in Hyderabad, with alternate locations available in Chennai, Bangalore, and Delhi. Work will be carried out from the office, and the interview process will be conducted virtually.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deploy Java-based applications across GCP environments, including serverless and containerized platforms such as Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Run, and Google App Engine.
• Build event-driven and REST-oriented microservices using Java along with Spring Boot and related cloud frameworks.
• Connect applications to cloud data services such as Cloud SQL, Cloud Firestore, Bigtable, and BigQuery.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD workflows using tools like Cloud Build, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions, while working with container technologies such as Docker.
• Support asynchronous backend communication using Cloud Pub/Sub or Apache Kafka.
• Handle secure access and endpoint protection by working with IAM roles, service accounts, and API gateways.

Technical Requirements

• Strong command of Java across versions 8, 11, 17, and 21.
• Practical experience with Spring Boot and Hibernate/JPA.
• Solid understanding of the GCP stack, including Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, GKE, and Cloud Storage.
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code, with Terraform being a strong advantage.
• Hands-on familiarity with Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and observability tools such as Splunk or Dynatrace.
