Role Overview
This Planning Engineer role calls for a seasoned professional with strong experience in project planning, scheduling and cost engineering. The position requires deep hands-on use of Primavera tools, solid reporting ability, and the capacity to support schedule impact analysis on complex projects.
Key Experience and Technical Exposure
The successful candidate should bring at least 10 years of project management experience in planning, scheduling and cost engineering. Of this, a minimum of 3 years must include working with Primavera Project Management (P6) and Primavera Contract Management (Expedition). Experience should include completing at least one project in a similar role, with comparable scale and complexity.
Required Skills and Competencies
The role requires strong spoken and written English, good report-writing ability, analytical thinking and competence with computer-based tools. Familiarity with schedule impact analysis techniques is also expected.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline is required, along with certification in project planning and scheduling and in the use of Primavera applications, including Primavera Project Management/P6 and Primavera Contract Management/Expedition.
