The Fanatics Collectibles group operates where collectibles, culture, and technology meet. Supported by experienced investors, operators, and sports and entertainment partners, the team is building a global leader in next-generation collectibles and is rethinking the collectibles journey for fans, partners, and creators.

Role Summary

The QA Proofreader will review a broad range of pre-production text and artwork files for trading card products across multiple sports and entertainment licenses. This role works closely with internal teams in a fast-moving environment to check artwork before production, protect product quality, and ensure compliance with licensor standards. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, comfort working across multiple tools and projects, independent judgment, teamwork, and a solid understanding of sports terminology.

Key Responsibilities

• Review raw trading card copy for grammar, spelling, house style, and licensor-specific rules.
• Contribute feedback on design layout and execution during cross-functional reviews of master design files.
• Inspect composed card files for integrity, visual consistency, image quality, text formatting, technical setup, and printing plate alignment.
• Verify that requested edits from QA, editorial, design, or licensors have been correctly implemented in intermediate proof stages.
• Compare imposition layouts with subject lists to confirm trading card sheets are aligned correctly before press release.
• Carry out the final quality check of imposed sheets to catch errors or missing elements before files are sent to press.
• Review packaging artwork to confirm the consumer-facing information matches internal documentation, legal requirements, and bills of materials.

Education and Experience

A bachelor’s degree is required, along with at least 3 years of professional experience in journalism, photography, and/or the sports and collectibles industry.

Skills and Capabilities

• Exceptional eye for textual and visual detail.
• Ability to apply detailed licensor style guides accurately.
• Strong command of U.S. English grammar, with occasional flexibility for European English conventions.
• Comfort adapting to varied style rules across sports and entertainment properties.
• Effective multitasking and prioritization across several active projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat Pro, browser-based tools, and macOS.
• Deep interest in and knowledge of sports and entertainment.

Working Conditions

This is an onsite role requiring work from the office five days per week.
