Role Overview

In this position, you will help build pipeline growth and expand Neo4j’s presence in priority markets. The role is centered on pipeline generation, strong discovery conversations, and close collaboration with Account Executives to create opportunities in key accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Handle a large flow of inbound leads, including contact requests, marketing-qualified leads, event-driven leads, and hand-raisers, within the assigned territory while ensuring quick follow-up and a strong prospect experience.
  • Run structured discovery conversations to assess interest, identify business challenges, understand technical needs, and evaluate buying intent.
  • Turn inbound engagement into qualified sales opportunities by clearly communicating Neo4j’s value and arranging the next steps with the relevant Account Executives.
  • Maintain excellent speed-to-lead performance and meet SLA expectations while still delivering personalized outreach at scale.
  • Work closely with Account Executives to ensure smooth lead transfer, shared account context, and coordinated messaging within the territory.
  • Share clear and useful insights from inbound conversations to help move opportunities forward and support account planning.
  • Lead discovery calls with prospects in the Corporate segment, defined here as companies below $1B in revenue, to uncover business and technical problems Neo4j can address.
  • Develop strong knowledge of Neo4j use cases, target industries, and buyer personas so you can confidently guide conversations and explain long-term value.
  • Use intent signals and account research to prioritize inbound activity and personalize outreach.
  • Continue building knowledge of Neo4j’s technology, competitive landscape, and enterprise applications in preparation for a future outbound, Enterprise-focused SDR role.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed goals related to meetings held, opportunities generated, inbound conversion, and overall pipeline contribution.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of relevant experience as a BDR or SDR in a software company, along with a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience in inbound or outbound prospecting, enterprise selling, or data/analytics/information-management solutions is a strong advantage.
  • A self-driven, hardworking attitude with the ability to sustain a high daily activity level while remaining upbeat and energetic.
  • Strong phone communication skills, including active listening, clear presentation, objection handling, and written communication.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially when updating and maintaining lead information accurately in Salesforce.
  • Comfort using standard business tools such as Google Docs, Microsoft Office, Salesforce, web conferencing tools, Outreach, and ZoomInfo.
  • A collaborative mindset, strong integrity, and a willingness to support the ongoing growth and evolution of the BDR program.
