Architect

Role overview

We are looking for a seasoned Architect with 8 to 12 years of hands-on experience in OpenText BC, OpenText VIM, and OpenText Capture Centre. The position is based in a hybrid work setup in Chennai and will support improvements across Research and Development, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain operations. The role calls for someone who can spot opportunities, solve problems proactively, and help drive better efficiency and innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Build and roll out solutions using OpenText BC, VIM, and Capture Centre to streamline business workflows.
• Work closely with cross-functional groups to connect OpenText tools smoothly with current enterprise systems.
• Review business needs and convert them into clear technical requirements for development teams.
• Offer technical direction and troubleshooting support for deployment and ongoing upkeep of OpenText applications.
• Prepare and maintain detailed records covering architecture decisions, system design, and configuration.
• Carry out periodic audits to verify that systems meet industry standards and established best practices.
• Track system behavior and introduce improvements that strengthen performance, stability, and efficiency.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand expectations and shape solutions that support business goals.
• Run workshops and learning sessions to strengthen team capability in OpenText technologies.
• Keep pace with emerging OpenText developments and use that knowledge to support continuous enhancement.
• Protect data accuracy and security across all OpenText environments.
• Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure clear alignment.
• Contribute to strategic planning for introducing new technologies and operational processes.

Qualifications and requirements

• Substantial practical experience with OpenText BC, VIM, and Capture Centre, with a strong understanding of how these products work.
• Solid exposure to Research and Development, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain environments is preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot effectively and perform well in a hybrid work arrangement.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for working with varied teams and stakeholders.
• Commitment to staying current with industry developments and technology shifts.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to identify and resolve process or system gaps.
• Demonstrated success in delivering projects within planned timelines.
