Budget & Reporting Manager

About the Role

TotalEnergies is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Budget & Reporting Manager to join their team in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. This role is crucial for managing financial reporting, budget preparation, and ensuring accuracy in financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing various financial reports, managing accounting periods, and contributing to business process implementation within the ERP system.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage the annual budget and long-term financial plans in collaboration with department heads, including seasonal budget adjustments.
• Generate monthly and quarterly financial reports for internal management and external stakeholders, including shareholders.
• Oversee the accounting closing timetable by managing financial and material management accounting periods within SAP.
• Develop and present monthly dashboard reports, including P&L analysis, to senior management, providing insights into the financial performance of both entities.
• Prepare and reconcile investment reports with SAP data.
• Generate Working Capital Requirement (WCR) reports, analyzing stock levels, DSO, and payables.
• Prepare quarterly sales results reports (RV1) for third-party and group customers.
• Conduct quarterly consolidated results reviews to ensure alignment with management reports.
• Compile statutory reports for EWURA, including monthly sales and import data.
• Execute contribution accounts for the Network with the NT team to ensure SAP figures align with actual volumes, operating income, and expenses.
• Support and implement business process changes within the ERP system (SAP, E-LUBE, E-FUEL, MY EPROC) for new activities and ongoing system evolution.
• Coordinate with Supply and Treasury managers on stock management issues, participating in importation meetings and stock allocations.
• Monitor daily sales and margins, preparing for morning meetings and tracking KPIs against business unit targets.
• Update prices in SAP based on approved requests, ensuring consistency with EWURA releases and budget objectives, and preventing negative margins.
• Collaborate with the Stock/Cost accountant to ensure accurate MAP for all vessel receptions in SAP.
• Review imported vessel costs weekly to track cost variations and inform pricing strategies.
• Verify purchase requisitions in OPTIMA/MY EPROC, ensuring correct item codes, cost centers, and expense types (CAPEX/OPEX).
• Analyze fixed costs for accuracy in postings, general ledger, cost centers, and descriptions, ensuring alignment with authorized business units and implementing cost agility programs.
• Track CAPEX reports with business units to ensure expenditures align with approved budgets.
• Supervise SAP-related projects and manage associated tickets.
• Analyze financial results and provide explanations for factors impacting business performance.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual business reviews.
• Respond to ad-hoc internal and external requests related to company operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (T) certification.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a Finance function.
• Strong analytical capabilities.
• Proficiency in all SAP modules (MM, SD, FI).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Ability to meet reporting deadlines consistently.

Eligibility

Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, CPA (T) certification, and at least 10 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
