Business Analyst

Role overview

An international luxury beauty business is seeking a Business Analyst to support commercial decision-making through reporting, forecasting, and insight-led analysis. This position works across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and retail partners to track performance, uncover growth opportunities, and help deliver commercial goals across several retail channels.

Data analysis and reporting

• Produce weekly and monthly retail performance reports for major accounts, product categories, and launches, translating findings into practical recommendations.
• Review sales movements to spot potential risks and areas where the business can grow.
• Keep forecasts, targets, and performance trackers up to date in coordination with Finance and Commercial teams.
• Track competitor actions and wider market developments to inform business decisions.
• Assess the effectiveness of promotions and marketing activity, including ROI, and suggest ways to improve results.
• Create and maintain dashboards and reporting tools that make commercial data easy to access and reliable.

Sales planning and commercial support

• Contribute to the development of sales targets, forecasts, and retail planning resources.
• Work with Account, Trade Marketing, and Field teams to improve investment decisions and commercial outcomes.
• Examine retailer and channel performance to identify risks and opportunities.
• Equip teams with reporting tools and insight so they can work more independently and build analytical confidence.
• Share analysis that supports demand planning, stock management, and new product launches.

Operational and strategic support

• Assist with budgeting, sales monitoring, and ongoing performance reporting.
• Prepare ad hoc analysis for senior leaders, including performance reviews, competitor insight, and market opportunity assessments.
• Compile data and materials for business reviews and leadership presentations.

About you

• You bring strong analytical ability and can convert data into clear commercial recommendations.
• You have advanced Excel capability, with Power BI or similar reporting tools preferred.
• You communicate confidently and can work effectively with senior stakeholders.
• You are comfortable balancing several priorities in a fast-moving environment.
• You have experience in retail, commercial analysis, business intelligence, or a related field.
• You hold a degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a similar subject, or have equivalent practical experience.
