Role Overview
This position calls for a Business Development Manager with 5 to 8 years of experience, ideally with GCC exposure. The role is centered on growing opportunities within steel fabrication while building durable client relationships and supporting project pricing and market expansion efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, pursue, and grow new business prospects in the steel fabrication segment.
- Build and manage client relationships to support account growth and long-term retention.
- Develop project cost estimates and pricing proposals.
- Work in coordination with engineering, design, and production teams to align business opportunities with delivery capacity.
- Track market movement, industry demand, and competitive trends to uncover new growth avenues.
Candidate Profile
The preferred academic background is a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. The ideal candidate should bring hands-on exposure to steel fabrication, non-destructive testing (NDT), and structural works, along with a solid understanding of drawings, design interpretation, and fabrication workflows. Prior success in marketing and business development is important, as is strong capability in costing and estimation. A well-established network across the Qatar or wider GCC market is highly valued.
