Role overview
The Business Quality Control Manager will strengthen the quality of loan files, support valuation reviews, assist with non-performing loan (NPL) work, and help improve audit outcomes. The role focuses on overseeing business quality control activities, identifying risks or gaps, and ensuring the team delivers work in line with bank policy and procedure.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the Business Quality Control team.
- Make sure approved quality control plans are carried out successfully.
- Report to the Head of Business Quality Control and the Head of Risk Management Division.
- Direct, coach, and guide BQC staff placed at branches so their work follows job expectations, policies, and procedures.
- Strengthen key-done reviews and keep work quality aligned with BQC standards.
- Support business units when checking suspicious cases that have been reported.
- Review loan growth patterns by portfolio and flag anything that appears unusual.
- Carry out spot checks on BQC officers and senior staff to confirm work quality.
- Assist the Head of Department in identifying operational risks, loan-related issues, and process gaps.
- Visit customer business sites and collateral locations, including checking collateral valuations and loan quality at branches or units.
- Confirm the team understands its scope of work and submits reports to the Head within the agreed timeline.
- Review team output and submit quality reports to the Head of Department on time.
- Train the team and provide updates on new issues, guidelines, processes, memos, or policies at least once a year.
- Protect bank and customer information in line with the bank’s code of conduct.
- Carry out other related duties assigned by the Head of Department or Division.
Requirements
- A university degree in Banking and Finance, Accounting, Economics, or another related discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience in internal audit.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a demanding environment.
- Good time management abilities.
- Strong spoken and written English.
- Problem-solving ability and a professional skeptical mindset.
