Role overview

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a qualified Cardiac Physiologist to join its supportive team at West Middlesex Hospital. This Band 5 position is suitable for someone newly qualified as well, and offers a varied, fast-moving role within a cross-site cardiac diagnostics service.

The role involves carrying out Holter tape analysis, exercise tolerance testing (ETT), supporting DSEs/TSEs, and tilt table studies. Working under the supervision of the cardiology diagnostic team, you will build the capability to work independently while delivering a high-quality service for patients undergoing non-invasive and invasive cardiology investigations.

You will also be responsible for recognising patient needs during procedures and providing the appropriate level of care throughout their investigations. The post is designed to help you grow confidence, develop highly transferable clinical skills, and gain broad experience in a busy diagnostic environment.

About the employer

The trust supports a workforce of nearly 7,500 staff and serves a diverse population of 1.5 million people. Its services include maternity, emergency care, children’s services, and specialist HIV and sexual health provision. The Care Quality Commission has rated the trust as 'Good' for safety, effectiveness, care, and responsiveness, and 'Outstanding' for leadership and resource use.

The trust continues to invest heavily in its facilities, including a £30m expansion of critical care at Chelsea and Westminster and an £80m Ambulatory Diagnostic Centre at West Middlesex.

Additional information

The organisation is committed to equal opportunities and welcomes applicants from the global majority, veterans, and underrepresented communities. It values diverse perspectives and aims to create a workplace where all voices are respected, heard, and supported to succeed.

If you do not hear back within three weeks of the closing date, the application should be considered unsuccessful. Employment is subject to a six-month probationary period. Some roles may require weekend working across multiple sites.
