About the role

Abacare, part of CCH Group, is hiring Care Assistants in Welshpool. The role is based in local community care settings and focuses on supporting people to remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. The pay is £13.45 per hour, rising to £13.75 per hour for weekend shifts. Mileage is paid at 45p. Working patterns are flexible and may include full-time, part-time, evenings, and weekends. Both walking and driving routes are available, although a driver is required for driving routes.

What you will do

• Help people maintain their independence while living at home.
• Deliver personal care in a way that protects dignity and respect.
• Provide companionship, reassurance, and emotional support.
• Support with medication, movement, and meal times.
• Work as a dependable member of a close local care team.

What the employer is looking for

No prior care experience is required. The company welcomes both newcomers and people with previous care backgrounds, provided they bring the right attitude and values.
