About the organization
Chitambo Development Foundation (CHDF) is a purpose-led organization working to advance innovation, economic empowerment, and sustainable development through emerging technologies, digital infrastructure, and strategic collaborations. As part of its global expansion plan, CHDF is launching a new subsidiary in Miami to grow its footprint across North America and deepen its participation in the evolving digital economy.
Role summary
The Chief Strategy Officer will join the executive leadership group and help define the long-range direction, growth agenda, and market positioning of CHDF’s Miami subsidiary. This leader will be responsible for spotting new business opportunities, developing strategic alliances, supporting expansion efforts, and guiding innovation initiatives tied to digital assets, fintech, decentralized technologies, and related digital ecosystems. The role calls for a blend of strategy leadership, business development capability, and a strong grasp of technology-driven markets.
Key responsibilities
- Create and drive the strategic roadmap for the Miami subsidiary.
- Identify growth potential in digital finance, technology, innovation, and emerging sectors.
- Develop and sustain relationships with industry executives, investors, institutions, and ecosystem partners.
- Lead market research, competitive analysis, and business intelligence efforts that inform leadership decisions.
- Work with the executive team to define business targets, performance measures, and operational priorities.
- Oversee corporate development work such as partnerships, joint ventures, and market expansion initiatives.
- Contribute to fundraising, investor relations, and strategic communication activities.
- Assess new technologies and industry shifts to uncover business use cases and growth paths.
- Represent CHDF at conferences, business events, and professional networking forums.
- Promote a workplace culture centered on innovation, collaboration, and high performance.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Technology Management, or a closely related discipline.
- At least 10 years of senior executive experience in strategy, corporate development, business growth, consulting, financial services, technology, or similar fields.
- Track record of leading growth and strategic transformation initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of digital innovation, fintech, technology ecosystems, and emerging market trends.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to build high-level partnerships and manage stakeholder relationships.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and large strategic programs.
Preferred profile
- Master’s degree, such as an MBA or equivalent.
- Background in fintech, digital asset infrastructure, financial technology, payments, software, or innovation-oriented organizations.
- An established network in North American technology, investment, or innovation communities.
- Prior exposure to international expansion work.
