Role Overview

This is a full-time Creative Assistant position based in Marina del Rey, CA. The role supports the Creative Department through a mix of administrative coordination and hands-on creative work. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-focused, resourceful, and comfortable balancing structure with creative execution. Success in this role requires the ability to multitask, stay composed under pressure, and bring a positive, can-do attitude to daily work.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle the Creative Department’s daily administrative needs, including calendars, travel coordination, and general organization.
• Keep the studio tidy, efficient, and well maintained.
• Receive, manage, and monitor yardage requests and transfer orders for photo shoots and visual display projects.
• Research, source, and arrange props, materials, and custom fabrication items needed for photo shoots, trade shows, and events.
• Provide support on site during photo shoots.
• Partner with the Sr. Display & Merchandise Manager on visual concepts for lookbooks, showroom presentations, trade shows, and events by helping with fabric choices and material sourcing.
• Help build and install window displays for showrooms, trade shows, and events.
• Maintain a well-organized and detailed prop library within the creative studio.

Requirements

• A degree in Design, Fine Arts, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in an administrative assistant, creative assistant, or similar position.
• Background in interiors, fashion, design, or another creative field is preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Exposure to design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, or comparable 3D/rendering software is a plus.
• Ability to learn internal platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics Navision.
• Comfort working with different materials and hands-on processes such as painting, sewing, and building.
• Excellent organization and time management.
• Clear, polished, and professional communication skills.
• Ability to juggle several priorities in a busy, fast-moving environment.
• Strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through.
• Collaborative working style across teams.
• Capability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Willingness to stand for long periods when needed for photo shoots, showroom installations, and events.
• Ability to work directly with materials and props during creative installations.

Compensation

The pay rate is $24 to $26 per hour.
