Creative Lead

About the Role

This is a contract opportunity within a consulting services division, supporting a managed services team on behalf of a major retail client. The assignment begins in August and is fully remote, with work aligned to CST hours. The role is part of an external agency team and involves guiding a high-volume creative studio that produces print and digital marketing assets for a national retail brand.

What You’ll Do

As the Creative Lead, you’ll receive client briefs, turn them into clear creative direction, and steer the studio through concepting and execution. You’ll help keep projects on track for quality, timing, scope, and budget while ensuring deliverables meet brand expectations.

Engagement Details

• Start: August, timing to be confirmed
• Work setting: Fully remote, aligned to CST
• Schedule: 20 hours per week with fixed hours each day
• Assignment length: Through the end of the year, with potential to extend

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the internal Project Manager and Executive Creative Director to set key milestones and the overall creative plan.
• Review client briefs and direct studio work from concept to near-final delivery, overseeing the process through roughly 80% completion.
• Give direct creative feedback to maintain quality, consistency, and brand alignment.
• Encourage strong collaboration across the studio to produce high-caliber creative output.
• Develop and manage production schedules and workflows to improve efficiency and support on-time delivery.
• Handle client comments and supervise final edits before work is handed off.
• Join status meetings and provide weekly project progress updates.
• Track asset delivery and keep project records accurate.

Requirements

• Background in design and/or art direction, with demonstrated leadership experience.
• Ability to convert client briefs into actionable creative direction.
• Prior experience in a fast-moving agency environment.
• Comfort using project management tools such as Wrike, Asana, Workfront, or similar platforms.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud and related design tools.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Must have access to personal equipment.
