About the Company

Forbes Digital Marketing Inc. is a fast-scaling digital media and technology business that helps people make better choices across money, health, careers, and everyday living. The company blends data-led editorial content, rigorous product comparisons, and user-focused design on a modern, scalable platform. Its international teams work across journalism, product, performance marketing, data, and analytics.

The Role

We are looking for a Data Scientist who can drive growth through advanced analytics and machine learning. The position sits at the crossroads of marketing performance, product improvement, and decision science.

You will work closely with Paid Media, Product, and Engineering teams to develop models, produce insights, and influence how users are acquired, retained, and monetized. Your work will span campaign ROI, user segmentation, funnel optimisation, and other growth-focused analysis that directly affects business outcomes.

This opportunity suits someone who is commercially minded, communicates clearly, and prefers building reusable, production-ready analytical solutions rather than only one-time analyses.

Key Responsibilities

Your work will cover marketing measurement, growth analytics, predictive modelling, and cross-functional communication.

  • Lead modelling efforts for lifetime value, user segmentation, retention, and marketing efficiency to support media optimisation and attribution.
  • Partner with Paid Media and RevOps teams to improve SEM performance, identify high-value cohorts, and inform bidding and targeting strategies.
  • Collaborate with Product Insights and General Managers to define metrics, KPIs, and success measures for launches and new features.
  • Analyse user behaviour, funnel performance, and product engagement in depth to surface practical recommendations.
  • Track movement in critical product metrics, determine underlying causes, and explain business impact.
  • Work with Data Engineering to create and maintain scalable data pipelines that power machine learning, retraining, and real-time inference.
  • Develop predictive models for conversion, churn, revenue, and engagement using regression, classification, and time-series techniques.
  • Spot opportunities to introduce prescriptive analytics and automation across product and marketing processes.
  • Contribute to reusable ML pipelines for production use cases such as recommendations, lead scoring, and SEM planning.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
  • Translate business questions into analytical problems and convert complex results into actionable plans.
  • Work across Engineering, Product, BI, and Marketing to implement and deploy analytical solutions.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should bring strong analytical depth, solid technical skills, and the ability to explain data clearly to business teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
  • At least 4 years of experience in data science, growth analytics, or decision science.
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL and Python, including Pandas, Scikit-learn, and NumPy.
  • Practical experience with Tableau, Looker, or comparable BI platforms.
  • Understanding of LTV modelling, retention curves, cohort analysis, and media attribution.
  • Exposure to GA4, Google Ads, Meta, or similar performance marketing tools.
  • Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to turn analysis into decisions.
  • Preferred experience with BigQuery and Google Cloud Platform, or similar cloud environments.
  • Useful background in affiliate or lead-generation business models.
  • Bonus experience with NLP, LLMs, embeddings, or agent-based analytics.
  • Ability to support deployment workflows using tools such as Vertex AI, Airflow, or Composer.

Perks and Benefits

  • Remote-first setup with flexibility to work from anywhere in India and exposure to global teams.
  • Every third Friday off, creating a monthly long-weekend rhythm.
  • Wellness support and parental leave benefits.
  • Collaborative environment where ideas are heard and contributions have visible impact.
  • Opportunity to help shape the future of data science within a highly trusted global brand.

Location

This role is based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region and is offered in a remote-first format.
