Finance Analyst

About the role

British American Tobacco (BAT) is expanding quickly into a diversified global business focused on building a smokeless future and creating a better tomorrow. The company is hiring a Finance Analyst in Qatar to support finance operations and help deliver corporate and commercial objectives.

What you will do

• Assist the Head of Finance with corporate and commercial finance activities.
• Keep monthly financial records accurate and current, including fixed asset records and compliance with governance and internal control requirements.
• Handle finance processes that cut across teams and work closely with internal stakeholders, including the Gulf Finance team.
• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable activities and support external audit work.
• Contribute to process enhancements, better working methods, and stronger relationships with stakeholders.

What the company is looking for

• Between 1 and 3 years of experience in finance-focused roles.
• Working knowledge of financial reporting tools and systems such as SAP and BPC reporting.
• Experience or familiarity with financial analysis, financial accounting, corporate finance, audit, compliance, treasury, and related finance systems.
• A degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, or a similar business discipline.
• Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or ACT are an advantage but not essential.
