Role overview
This is a newly created Finance Manager position based in Cork for a global technology company. It is designed for a driven finance professional who wants to grow their career in a fast-moving international environment.
The position sits at the centre of global compliance reporting and will have a major impact on how statutory reporting is prepared, streamlined and automated. You will be involved in financial statement preparation, audit coordination and wider process improvement, working closely with project and finance teams across regions.
This is a strategic, hands-on role with extensive cross-functional interaction. The successful candidate will act as a key link between Finance and Project teams worldwide, helping improve consistency, governance and reporting quality.
Candidates should ideally bring Big 4 training, at least 5 years of post-qualification experience in a multinational setting, and a strong solution-oriented mindset. Leadership capability, stakeholder management strength and a collaborative working style are important for success.
Key responsibilities
- Take ownership of efforts to centralise and automate the global audit process while improving the accuracy and consistency of statutory reporting.
- Develop trusted working relationships with finance stakeholders and keep communication aligned across Finance, Tax and other business teams.
- Support international finance teams in improving audit execution, strengthening financial statement preparation and delivering more consistent statutory outputs.
- Spot and reduce risks during statutory close and audit cycles, and provide clear analysis of local close performance.
- Lead initiatives that standardise statutory processes, controls and reporting structures across global operations.
- Drive improvements that shorten close timelines, strengthen control environments and support better financial governance overall.
Candidate profile
- You should be a qualified accountant with more than five years of post-qualification experience.
- Experience from a Big 4 background and work in a multinational environment is strongly preferred.
- You need to demonstrate personal integrity, motivation and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- A solid grasp of risk, control and statutory reporting processes is essential.
- Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills are required.
- You should be comfortable working collaboratively as part of a team and across different functions.
