Role overview

This is a part-time entry-level Data Analyst role with Réseau des Alumni Simplon Sénégal, based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The position offers a hybrid working setup, combining on-site work with the option to work from home.

What you will do

In this role, you will support day-to-day data tasks by gathering, cleaning, and structuring information from both internal and external sources. You will carry out basic analysis, prepare summary statistics, and turn findings into straightforward reports and visual visuals that help guide decisions. You will also work with teammates to clarify data needs, record what you find, contribute to simple dashboards or data models, and handle ad hoc analysis requests while helping maintain data accuracy.

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate should have strong analytical ability and a solid grasp of core data analytics concepts. A basic understanding of statistics and how it supports data-informed decisions is important. Some exposure to data modeling or database fundamentals is an added advantage. You should be able to communicate insights clearly and concisely, and feel comfortable working with spreadsheets and at least one analytics or visualization platform such as Excel, Google Sheets, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools. The role suits someone who can collaborate effectively in a hybrid environment, manage time well across in-person and remote work, and bring curiosity, a willingness to learn, and openness to feedback.

Preferred background

A diploma or degree that is completed or currently in progress in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a related discipline is preferred.
