This position suits a driven graduate who wants to work closely with professional engineers and build practical experience across residential and commercial development work. The role offers exposure to projects from early concept stages through to construction, helping you develop a well-rounded mix of technical and professional capabilities.

Role Summary

As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you will contribute to the delivery of civil engineering projects throughout New Zealand. Your work will involve assistance with design, drafting, reporting, consenting, and support during construction.

Key Experience and Project Exposure

• Preparing civil CAD drawings and design outputs
• Working on residential and commercial land development assignments
• Assisting with stormwater, wastewater, and earthworks design
• Supporting Resource Consent and Engineering Plan Approval documentation
• Carrying out site inspections and monitoring construction activity
• Liaising with surveyors, planners, architects, and contractors

Candidate Profile

• Recent graduate civil engineer or someone with up to 4 years of local experience
• Familiarity with CAD tools such as AutoCAD or BricsCAD
• Strong accuracy and a willingness to keep learning
• Clear communication and solid problem-solving ability
• A positive, proactive approach to work
• Full New Zealand driver licence preferred
• Must have the right to work in New Zealand
