About the Role
The team is looking for an experienced Graphic Designer to join the Marketing department and help shape the visual identity of The Drake across its properties. This is a senior creative role that requires both speed and craftsmanship, with responsibility for producing polished brand assets for digital and print use. The ideal candidate will bring a bold, confident design style, strong organization, and clear communication, while working closely with internal teams and outside vendors to maintain quality and consistency across all materials.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of professional experience in creative design and design management
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Hands-on experience with print production workflows and coordinating with vendors
- College or university diploma in Graphic Design or a related discipline
- Solid understanding of graphic design fundamentals for both print and digital formats
- Strong communication, proofreading, and detail-oriented editing skills
- Ability to handle several projects at once while meeting tight deadlines in a busy environment
- Resourceful approach to production challenges and creative inspiration
- Advanced knowledge of HTML/CSS, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, motion graphics/animation, photography, and illustration is an advantage
- Background in interior design concepts, hospitality design, and current design trends is a plus
- Awareness of design blogs, industry movements, and visual trends in graphics and interiors
Responsibilities
- Develop and produce campaigns and supporting materials for all Drake properties, including menus, posters, signage, email content, digital ads, and web assets
- Partner with the Director of Marketing + Brand to organize timelines, priorities, and delivery milestones
- Coordinate with freelance designers and creative directors during production and design development
- Oversee print budgets and manage the balance between in-house work and outsourced vendors to control costs
- Provide thoughtful, timely creative solutions to internal teams and stakeholders
- Participate in brainstorming sessions, prepare creative briefs, create mockups, and present options to support project goals
- Maintain and refresh the image library and video asset collection
- Apply the Drake Style Guide consistently across all design outputs
- Contribute to social media visuals, digital campaigns, and print communication pieces
- Build strong working relationships with internal departments and external vendors
- Track project schedules carefully to complete design work on time
