Role overview
The Insights Associate Analyst plays a vital partner role for the QFNA business, which sits within the broader PFUS brand and marketing organization. The position focuses on helping teams understand retail and consumer data so they can uncover growth opportunities for the PepsiCo PFUS business.
In addition, the role contributes to the S&T team within the Hub by supporting faster business growth. Work in this role includes building and refreshing dashboards, preparing regular and on-demand performance reviews, and handling ad hoc requests using both internal and external data sources.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out the team’s charter for the Insights & Reporting vertical.
- Serve as a trusted insights partner to the PFUS business unit by developing deep knowledge of the supported categories and brands, understanding core US market and consumer trends, and mastering Circana IRI tools to convert trends into actionable insights.
- Prepare reporting at market, portfolio, and brand level for marketing KPI performance using dashboards, prebuilt decks, and reporting tools.
- Support business performance storytelling through ad hoc analysis and strategic deck creation, bringing in context beyond the raw data.
- Take initiative to surface performance drivers, explain results, and identify optimization opportunities.
- Track performance of key channels, customers, competitors, including private label, and emerging players, and deliver reporting at the needed cadence.
- Support process management by coordinating communication with Insights & Reporting leaders and business partners, including planning, workflow tracking, quality review, and ongoing updates.
- Help leadership refine internal COE processes such as workflow mapping and the management of pain points and bottlenecks across service delivery and internal operations.
- Strengthen existing processes by incorporating regular feedback from end users and business partners.
- Act as the main contact for regular reporting and analysis needs tied to insights, strategy, and delivery for aligned business partners.
- Contribute to simplification, standardization, and digitalization initiatives with global and sector stakeholders.
Qualifications
This role is suited to a junior or mid-level insights or analytics professional with 5+ years of experience, ideally from a leading research agency such as Nielsen or IRI Circana in a client-facing role, or from a consumer goods company working within a business unit insights function.
The ideal candidate should hold a master’s degree in marketing, management, economics, or mathematics.
The role also calls for a future-focused insights leader profile: someone who drives action through fact-based material, has improved decision-making through new processes, can combine multiple data sources into clear reporting, and is able to build a strong point of view with the ability to describe future scenarios. Strong storytelling ability is important.
Collaboration is essential. The candidate should enjoy working with others, actively co-create solutions across markets, and be open to responsive ways of working.
Additional strengths include experience in analytics, shopper research, consumer insights, or commercial roles, combined with strong analytical capability.
Solid knowledge of CPG and food & beverage data sources such as Nielsen/IRI POS and household panel data, GlobalData, and Kantar Worldpanel is expected.
The role also requires a strong understanding of CPG business performance metrics, causal measures, and how to translate them into visually compelling insights.
Advanced MS Office skills, especially PowerPoint-style presentation building and Excel, are essential, while Power BI knowledge is considered an advantage.
People management experience is not required, though it would be a plus.
Fluency in spoken and written English is mandatory.
