Role overview
As an Installer, you will be responsible for delivering, assembling, and installing a range of products at customer homes or business locations. The role focuses on safe handling, accurate setup, customer guidance, and high service quality to ensure every installation is completed professionally and efficiently.
Key duties
- Transport and deliver products safely to customer addresses.
- Unpack, assemble, and install items such as home appliances, furniture, and complex electronics in line with manufacturer instructions and company standards.
- Carry out checks before installation and test products after setup to confirm correct operation.
- Explain product use, basic care, and simple troubleshooting steps to customers.
- Respond to customer questions and concerns in a polite and helpful manner.
- Prepare and submit required paperwork, including installation records, delivery confirmations, and customer feedback documents.
- Keep tools, equipment, and company vehicles in proper working condition.
- Follow all safety rules and internal policies at all times.
- Coordinate with dispatch and customer support teams to complete installations on schedule.
- Spot and report any product damage or defects encountered during the job.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate has hands-on installation or assembly experience, a practical understanding of mechanics, and the ability to work with technical manuals and diagrams. Strong communication, customer service, and time-management skills are important, along with physical stamina for lifting and repeated manual tasks. A valid driver’s license and familiarity with hand tools and power tools are also required. The role may involve variable schedules, including evenings and weekends.
