Internal Logistics - AM/DM Level

About the role

Exide Energy Solutions Limited is expanding its manufacturing operations in Bengaluru with India’s first gigafactory for lithium-ion cells. The company is hiring for an Internal Logistics role at the Devanahalli site to support material movement and shop-floor supply within the manufacturing organization.

Key responsibilities

• Move materials from different warehouses to production zones using material-handling equipment such as RGVs, AGVs, forklifts, BOPTs, HOPTs, stackers, and conveyors.
• Keep the shop floor stocked with raw materials, assembly inputs, PPE, and consumables based on the production schedule.
• Use resources efficiently during raw material transfer, unpacking, soaking, issuance, and scrap handling while meeting standards for safety, quality, hygiene, and compliance.
• Assign manpower for kitting, de-palletizing, palletizing, packing, material issue, and internal scrap transfer activities.
• Maintain zero stock mismatch through cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and variance checks.
• Separate scrap material according to defined procedures across the responsible areas.
• Work closely with Production Planning, Process, Maintenance, Quality, IT, contractors, and SCM teams to meet operational needs.
• Follow requirements related to EHS, quality, hygiene, IGCR, scrap handling, soaking, and planned maintenance.
• Handle hazardous chemicals safely by ensuring the right PPE is used, carrying out risk assessments, following EHS manuals, and training the team.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, productivity, and waste reduction.
• Ensure all transactions are entered correctly and approved in SAP, with documentation maintained as per SOPs.
• Adhere strictly to organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
• Release materials to production according to the approved plan so that production is not interrupted.
• Follow all EHS, government, and other applicable statutory standards.

Requirements

• Educational qualification: B.E. or B.Tech.
• Experience of 6 to 15 years in a relevant environment.
