Position Summary
The Inventory Analyst will be a key support for the Planning team, responsible for managing purchase orders, tracking production timelines, verifying product data, and conducting inventory assessments across apparel, gift, and jewelry categories. This role requires close collaboration with Planning, Operations, and Product departments to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of orders, vendor interactions, and inventory flow.
Responsibilities
- Manage purchase orders by utilizing forecast files to determine order quantities, including size allocations for apparel.
- Generate and distribute purchase order import files for review and subsequent upload.
- Verify the accuracy of purchase orders post-import.
- Issue purchase orders within the Sage system.
- Monitor and adjust purchase orders to reflect any changes in pricing or additional charges.
- Track production schedules and confirm delivery dates with suppliers.
- Proactively follow up on production statuses, promptly alerting the team to any potential delays or issues.
- Lead weekly production status calls for Jewelry and Gift categories, reviewing the status of purchase orders.
- Facilitate the onboarding of new vendors, ensuring they understand company procedures.
- Distribute vendor onboarding packages and set up new vendors in Apprise and Sage systems.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor onboarding inquiries.
- Ensure the accuracy of product data across all company systems.
- Proofread catalog content for product data accuracy.
- Collaborate with Product and Data teams to resolve any identified discrepancies.
- Assist the VP of Planning with various inventory support tasks.
- Generate and process order cancellation reports, executing cancellations as directed.
- Create shipping containers and shipments within Apprise, applying relevant container and air shipment charges.
- Gather all necessary documentation and HTS codes for customs clearance processes.
- Process collegiate licensing applications.
- Obtain and assign Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes for new product types.
- Review existing HTS codes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain an HTS code spreadsheet, ensuring its accuracy within the Apprise system.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field is preferred.
- Possess 1 to 3 years of experience in product coordination, inventory management, merchandising, or a similar role within the fashion or lifestyle industry.
- Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Prior experience with product management software is advantageous.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet strict deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
- Familiarity with textiles, materials, and production processes is considered a plus.
- A genuine passion for lifestyle products and a sharp sense for emerging trends.
