Java Developer

Overview

Tata Consultancy Services is looking for a Java Developer with hands-on experience in modern Java application development. This role is open for multiple locations, including Gurgaon, Noida, Bangalore, Hyderabad, BBSR, Pune, and Kochi.

Role Summary

The position focuses on building and supporting scalable backend services using Java and related technologies. The candidate should be comfortable working independently within a small team and contribute to the design and development of REST-based services and microservices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java-based applications using current Java practices.
• Work with Spring and Spring Boot to create RESTful web services and microservices.
• Design solutions that can scale and perform reliably in production environments.
• Write and optimize SQL queries, and help improve MySQL performance through tuning.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver features with minimal supervision.

Technical Requirements

• Strong experience in core and advanced Java concepts, including Java 11 or newer.
• Practical knowledge of Spring, Spring Boot, RESTful services, and microservice architecture.
• Good understanding of MySQL, database optimization, and query performance.
• Exposure to GitHub, CI/CD workflows, and AWS is expected.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and scripting languages would be an advantage.
