Role overview

The Junior Business Intelligence Developer will join the Operations team in Singapore and support reporting, dashboard creation, data preparation, and basic automation work. This role is suited to someone early in their career who is comfortable working with data, eager to learn, and interested in helping teams improve how information is used across the business.

Reporting and dashboard support

• Help develop Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Refresh and maintain current reports.
• Assist with simple process automation and workflow improvements using approved tools such as Power Automate, VBA, and Python.
• Make sure information is shown accurately and in a clear format.

Data preparation

• Use SQL and Excel to pull and prepare data for reporting.
• Organise and clean datasets so they are ready for analysis and reporting.
• Check data for correctness before it is used.

Report maintenance and troubleshooting

• Track report refreshes and resolve straightforward issues.
• Help investigate basic data mismatches or inconsistencies.
• Apply changes based on user comments and business needs.

Business support

• Handle simple requests related to reporting and automation.
• Collaborate with colleagues to understand reporting needs and opportunities for process improvement.
• Support ad hoc data questions and analysis requests.
• Spot repetitive manual tasks that could be improved through automation.

Local data champion responsibilities

• Encourage good data practices and a strong sense of ownership across the business.
• Identify data issues at their source and help build fixes into normal business processes.
• Support technology and process change by evaluating and communicating the data impact.
• Promote the role of data in supporting growth, compliance, and better client outcomes.

Qualifications

A degree or diploma in Business Intelligence, Analytics, Data Science, IT, or a related discipline is preferred. Fresh graduates are welcome, and internship experience is an advantage but not mandatory.

Skills and experience

• Working understanding of SQL, including SELECT, JOIN, and GROUP BY.
• Comfort using Excel features such as formulas and pivot tables.
• Some exposure to Power BI or Tableau, whether through study, projects, or internship work.
• Attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
• Basic familiarity with Power Automate, VBA, and Python for simple automation or scripting tasks.
• Experience from an internship or academic project involving data work.
