Security Officer

Role Overview

Larsen & Toubro is looking for a Security Officer to oversee site security, protect people and assets, and ensure smooth monitoring of material movement at the Chorasi, Gujarat location.

Key Responsibilities

• Safeguard personnel, materials, and the movement of materials across the site.
• Prevent theft, carry out investigations when needed, and prepare incident reports.
• Handle day-to-day security operations and ensure all assigned security tasks are completed.
• Prepare and share security-related reports in digital formats.
• Monitor and follow up on tasks assigned by the CSO / Head of Security.
• Coordinate with village leaders, vendors, police, and local administrative authorities on matters assigned by the Head of Security.
• Lead, train, and brief contract security staff as required.
• Run security mock drills according to the planned schedule.
• Work in shift-based schedules as needed.

Desired Knowledge and Capability

• Understanding of firefighting practices and handling of fire equipment is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Gujarati is preferred.
• Familiarity with ISO, QMS, ISMS, and audit procedures is required.
• Exposure to security automation tools such as CCTV, GMS, and PIDS is required.

Additional Information

This role includes coordination, reporting, vigilance, and supervision responsibilities in a manufacturing/site environment. Shift work is part of the job requirement.
