Security Specialist

About the Role

Pinkerton is seeking a Security Specialist in Chennai to support both everyday site security and executive protection needs. In this position, you will act as the local security lead for the office/site while also providing protection support for senior leadership and C-suite visits. The role calls for strong coordination with local resources, quick readiness to assist with secure movements, and a professional, discreet approach to corporate security.

Key Responsibilities

• Act in line with Pinkerton’s values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
• Support executive protection duties during visits by C-suite leaders and senior executives.
• Plan and coordinate safe movements for arrivals, departures, office visits, site visits, and events.
• Carry out advance checks, route planning, and live movement support.
• Keep an escort vehicle ready at all times for immediate response, such as a Fortuner, Scorpio, Hycross, or similar vehicle.
• Respond promptly to security risks, medical situations, or emergencies involving leadership.
• Serve as the main security contact for office and site-level security matters.
• Work with guarding teams, facility management, and vendors to maintain daily security operations.
• Assist with access control, incident handling, emergency readiness, and SOP compliance.
• Perform basic risk reviews and suggest practical mitigation actions for offices and sites.
• Coordinate with local police, emergency responders, and approved security partners when needed.
• Maintain clear and timely communication with regional and central security teams.
• Ensure operational and information support is delivered within the stated turnaround time of more than 12 working hours.
• Manage incidents with calmness and effectiveness while protecting people and assets.
• Draft accurate incident reports, movement reports, and visit summaries.
• Take part in post-incident reviews and improvement measures.
• Handle additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in corporate security, site security, or executive protection.
• Previous exposure to security support for C-suite or senior leadership is strongly preferred.
• Experience working with local security teams and external vendors.
• Experience from the armed forces, law enforcement, or a professional private security organization is a plus.
• Strong ability to assess situations and identify risks.
• Capability to balance routine security work with high-pressure executive support.
• Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Physically fit, attentive, polished, and discreet.
• Good understanding of local routes, traffic flow, and area-related risks.
• Willingness to work on call and outside standard business hours when necessary.
• Ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Comfort with regular computer use.
• Ability to occasionally reach, lift small objects, and operate office equipment.
• Capacity to sit, stand, and walk frequently.
