Senior Architect (Interior Fit-Out)

Role Overview

Aujan Interiors is seeking an accomplished Senior Architect with deep expertise in interior fit-out work to support its projects in Dubai. The role calls for someone who can lead design activities from early concept stages through to final completion while coordinating closely with all project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will take ownership of architectural design delivery for fit-out assignments and ensure that each stage is executed to a high standard.

• Direct the architectural design and development process for interior fit-out projects from concept through completion.
• Produce and assess architectural drawings, shop drawings, detailed design submissions, and construction documents.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams across the full project timeline.
• Make sure all work aligns with local authority requirements, building regulations, and project-specific standards.
• Evaluate and sign off on material choices, finishes, and technical submittals.
• Carry out site inspections to track progress, quality, and adherence to approved drawings.
• Work with MEP, structural, and specialist subcontractors to resolve design and construction challenges.
• Take part in client meetings, design workshops, and technical discussions.
• Monitor project schedules and confirm that design deliverables are issued on time.
• Offer technical direction and support to junior architects and other design team members.
• Look for value-engineering opportunities without compromising design quality or project goals.
• Assist project managers during execution and final handover phases.

Qualifications and Experience

This position requires a seasoned architect with substantial experience in interior fit-out environments and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced project setting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Professional registration as an architect, or an equivalent certification, will be considered an advantage.
• Overall experience of 10 to 15 years in architecture, including at least 5 years in a Senior Architect capacity within interior fit-out projects.
• Hands-on background in F&B, commercial, retail, luxury residential, and corporate interior projects.
• Prior experience in the UAE or wider GCC region is strongly preferred.
