Senior Product Manager, Vulnerability Rewards Program

Role overview

This position sits within Google’s Core team and focuses on shaping the Vulnerability Rewards Program (VRP). The work centers on improving how external security researchers engage with the platform, how reports are handled, and how the program’s impact is communicated to leadership. The role connects product, technical, and business priorities in a high-visibility security environment.

Google gives preference to candidates who already have the legal right to work in Singapore and do not need visa sponsorship.

What you’ll work on

You will help define and evolve the roadmap for bughunters.google.com, with attention to researcher experience, incentive design, and payments. The role also involves aligning internal security review groups, strengthening program rules and quality measures, and managing large-scale engagement initiatives that retain and motivate top researchers.

Key responsibilities

• Shape the product direction for bughunters.google.com, including researcher workflows, gamified features such as leaderboards and badges, and payment integrations.
• Work with internal security panels to keep program policies, quality multipliers, and privilege-escalation delta metrics aligned across the company.
• Lead engagement efforts such as bugSWAT and global security events to deepen loyalty among the highest-contributing researchers.
• Own the Security Shepherd triage process so incoming reports are routed efficiently into actionable product issues.
• Present the VRP’s business and security impact to senior Google leadership using metrics such as time to resolution and reduction in vulnerability exposure windows.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in product management or a related technical function.
• 3 years of experience focused on user engagement and growth.
• 3 years of experience in strategy consulting or rewards management consulting.

Preferred qualifications

• Master’s degree in a technology- or business-related discipline.
• 5 years of experience collaborating across engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and similar stakeholders.
• 4 years of experience creating and delivering technical presentations to executive audiences.
• 3 years of people management experience with direct reports, along with technical leadership experience.
• Background in auction theory or related fields such as game theory.
• Ability to work with external security researchers and support the Vulnerability Rewards Program.
