Shift Lead

Role overview

This Shift Lead position in Clonmel is focused on making sure the store is fully prepared for trading, with particular responsibility for the fill operation and for coordinating resources across Serve, Sell and Fill. The role also steps in to lead the floor when the Colleague Manager is not available.

Key duties

• Take ownership of the fill operation and help ensure the sales floor is ready for customers.
• Arrange labour and support across the operation while the Colleague Manager is absent.
• Coach colleagues on the standard way of working and help improve productivity before store opening.
• Deploy the team effectively so customers receive a fast and efficient payment experience.
• Make sure daily operational routines are carried out smoothly and at the right times across the assigned area.
• Guide the team in keeping the store clean, safe and well displayed.
• Help build a positive, inclusive team environment where everyone feels part of the group.
• Set the standard for strong customer service.
• Demonstrate the company’s behaviours and colleague expectations across the store.
• Work with Colleague Managers by sharing observations that support performance and recognition of strong colleagues.
• Provide support to nearby stores when operational needs require it.
• Act as a key holder and respond to call-outs when needed.
• Handle opening and closing duties, including vehicle receipt, temperature checks, logging issues with the relevant helpdesks, cash handling and TSL compliance during peripheral hours.

A shift premium applies to any hours worked before 8:00am.
