Role Overview
This opening is for a staff mechanical maintenance role supporting the Tyre Cord and CSY process plant at VFY Business, Grasim Industries Ltd., Kalyan unit, under the Aditya Birla Group. The position focuses on keeping plant equipment and utilities running reliably through planned upkeep, troubleshooting, and coordination with operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance on plant equipment and utility systems.
- Inspect, service, and keep in working condition pumps, compressors, motors, blowers, piping networks, valves, reactors, agitators, and related machinery.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues quickly to reduce equipment stoppage and production loss.
- Work closely with production teams so maintenance work is completed without disrupting plant output.
- Assist in planning, carrying out, and closing shutdown, maintenance, and commissioning activities.
- Help with safety checks and risk evaluation before any maintenance task begins.
