Strategy Consultant - AI Training & Evaluation

About the opportunity

Mindrift, backed by Toloka, is building specialist reinforcement learning environments, task sets, and assessment systems for advanced AI models. The goal is to use the practical judgment of experienced professionals to improve how generative systems learn, reason, and respond.

The new Management Consulting stream is designed to turn real consulting work into structured learning material for AI. The team will be made up of strategy consultants from leading firms who can translate genuine client engagements into full project examples, including problem framing, planning, analysis, synthesis, and recommendations ready for a client audience.

You will work alongside other consultants from top strategy firms and help shape how AI is trained to handle senior-level business reasoning.

Eligibility

This opportunity is only open to consultants who have direct project experience at one of the approved top-tier strategy firms. Candidates without hands-on experience from the listed firms are not expected to apply.

Approved firms include McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Bain & Company, Oliver Wyman, Roland Berger, Monitor Deloitte (Deloitte S&C), EY-Parthenon, Kearney, and Strategy& (PwC).

Applicants should have at least 3 years of experience at one of these firms and practical exposure to structured problem solving, financial or market analysis, and client delivery.

What you will do

This is a remote, project-based role for an individual contributor focused on analytical design and evaluation.

• Create realistic consulting case environments with the right business context, numbers, constraints, missing data, and conflicting inputs.
• Break consulting work into clear AI-ready tasks that reflect real engagements such as market sizing, commercial due diligence, cost reduction, growth planning, operational review, and benchmarking.
• Set assessment standards by developing grading rubrics, evaluation criteria, and reference solutions that help train and calibrate an LLM-based scoring system at scale.

Who we are looking for

We are seeking consultants with more than 3 years of experience from one of the listed top consulting firms, and with direct experience in projects that required:

• Turning ambiguous client questions into workable analytical plans.
• Building financial models, market analyses, or structured insights from incomplete inputs.
• Preparing polished client-ready outputs under tight deadlines.
• Defending recommendations when the answer is uncertain or evolving.

No advanced technical background is needed. The company will provide onboarding on the lightweight tools used for the work.

Skills & requirements

• 3+ years of consulting experience at McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Oliver Wyman, Roland Berger, Monitor Deloitte, EY-Parthenon, Kearney, or Strategy&.
• Strong analytical structuring and hypothesis-driven thinking.
• Comfort turning vague business problems into clear steps and deliverables.
• High standards for consistency, accuracy, and output quality.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Clear written English at B2 level or above.

Compensation

Contributors can earn up to the equivalent of $60 per hour on this project, based on experience and contribution pace.

Pay may differ from one project to another depending on complexity, scope, and the expertise required. Other assignments on the platform may be compensated at different levels.
