System and Database Administrator

Role Overview

This position focuses on keeping the organisation’s systems stable, secure, and available. The role supports day-to-day administration of infrastructure, helps define server needs with project teams, and contributes to the upkeep and improvement of the platform environment.

Core Responsibilities

• Support system administration activities that keep the platform reliable and continuously available.
• Work with project teams to determine technical server requirements.
• Help install and set up systems and related infrastructure.
• Assist with backup, restoration, monitoring, and other routine administration tasks.
• Track, assess, and review performance metrics and operational behaviour.
• Support production incident handling, including resolution and escalation when needed.
• Contribute to platform upgrades, evolution, and migration in line with technical guidance and vendor recommendations.

Security Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining system security to protect availability and reliability.
• Help define the platform security policy.
• Monitor security-related incidents and escalate them appropriately.
• Take part in platform security audits.

Requirements

The role calls for a Master’s degree or an equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline, along with 5 to 8 years of relevant experience.

Technical Skills

• Security tools and controls such as cryptographic keys and digital signatures
• System configuration management
• Infrastructure environments such as data centres and servers
• Production infrastructure, including databases and monitoring systems
• Monitoring tools such as Zabbix and Centreon
• Databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL
• Unix server administration

Domain Knowledge

• Payment systems
• Computer networks and security
• Legal standards and IT law
• Database concepts and administration
• Network architecture, including WAN, LAN, Wi‑Fi, and related protocols
• Professional fluency in French and English
