A professional membership organisation is looking for a proactive Training Administrator to support its professional development function. This home-based position includes occasional travel across the UK and focuses on delivering a strong programme of training and development activities for volunteers, trainers, and members.
The role is permanent and full time, working 35 hours per week. The salary is £27,851 per year, along with benefits that include 30 days of holiday plus bank holidays and a pension scheme.
What You Will Do
- Plan, organise, and coordinate a year-round schedule of online and in-person training and development activities.
- Identify and secure appropriate venues across the UK for face-to-face events.
- Provide both administrative and technical assistance for virtual and onsite sessions.
- Support trainers and presenters before, during, and after each event.
- Handle delegate registrations and serve as the main contact for attendee questions.
- Prepare and coordinate promotional materials to increase awareness and attendance.
- Keep trainer records up to date and assist with recruiting and onboarding new trainers.
- Support trainer development initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
- Manage recorded learning content and help publish and promote it through digital channels.
- Collect, review, and report on delegate feedback to help improve future activities.
- Assist volunteer working groups by arranging meetings, drafting agendas, and taking minutes.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation within internal systems.
- Contribute to wider professional development projects and organisational initiatives when needed.
Skills and Experience Needed
Applicants should bring strong communication skills, solid organisational ability, and confidence managing multiple deadlines. Experience in event coordination, training administration, programme support, or stakeholder engagement is important, along with the ability to deliver excellent service to delegates and partners.
You should be comfortable working independently in a remote setting while staying closely connected with colleagues and external contributors. Strong IT capability is needed, especially with Microsoft Office, Teams, Zoom, SharePoint, and online survey tools.
Useful additional experience includes working in a membership organisation, professional body, charity, or not-for-profit setting, as well as familiarity with event systems, CRM tools, learning platforms, and analysis of feedback or performance data.
Additional Information
This position involves occasional travel within the UK for events, meetings, and stakeholder engagement.
To be considered, candidates should send their CV.
Because of the number of applications expected, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. If you do not receive a response within 10 working days, you should assume your application has been unsuccessful.
