Role overview

Sandvik Mining is hiring local warehouse workers for its Pooraka branch in South Australia. The position supports warehouse and distribution activities for both internal teams and external customers, with day-to-day work carried out under the Warehouse Supervisor.

This role suits someone who can follow detailed instructions, work well as part of a team, and handle routine supervision while contributing to smooth warehouse operations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with managers, suppliers, and customers on stores and warehouse operations.
• Carry out weighing, shipping, receiving, delivery, and dispatch-related duties.
• Receive goods, prepare receipting records, pick and pack spare parts and materials, and dispatch them.
• Support project-related tasks as required.
• Help maintain inventory accuracy and control.
• Prepare shipping papers and related documentation.
• Perform detailed data entry in Sandvik systems.
• Investigate stock or process discrepancies and apply corrective measures.
• Complete cycle counts and full stocktakes.
• Apply quality control methods and procedures.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and maintained.

What you need

The preferred candidate will bring at least 3 years of experience in warehouse or store operations within heavy mining or equipment manufacturing. A current forklift licence is essential.

You should be confident using SAP and RF scanners, comfortable learning new systems and processes, and able to work in a changing environment. Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office, are also expected.

Experience following and promoting OH&S policies and procedures is important, along with a practical, energetic, flexible approach. Good communication, customer service, teamwork, and the ability to work flexible shifts and rosters are also required.
